An Exploration on Improvement of Quality of Hybrid Corn Seed

文章通过对杂交玉米制种质量控制的关健环节入手,研究了影响玉米种子质量的相关因素,提出了加强组织管理、严格选择隔离区、选用高纯度亲本、提高播种质量、严格除杂去劣及母本去雄、及时割除父本、加强粒检工作、避免机械混杂等质量控制环节的关键实用技术。

The article focuses on some relative elements which would have influence on the quality of corn seed by starting with a number of practices required in the seed production process. They include stringent management practices, choosing isolation areas discreetly and using parent seed with high purity. Adding to the list are detasseling of the female parent, removing male inbred and weed without any delay as well as conducting field and seed lot inspections and avoiding mixing facilities.
