热塑合成材料PEEK(Polyetheretherketon)特殊的热承载能力使由工程合成材料制成的齿轮的应用有了更广阔的前景。作者将该合成材料—钢配对齿轮与常规热塑材料(聚氧亚甲和尼龙)进行了比较,包括其寿命和传动效率。作者发现,在单齿动态脉动弯曲试验中,齿根尚有明显的承载裕量,而在传动试验中,作用齿面形成的裂纹导致齿的断裂。
The aim of this study was to assess the characteristics of cylindrical gears made of heat resistant polyetheretherketone (PEEK). Life, efficiency and thermal stability were investigated in a gear testing machine in combination with a steel pinion. The PEEK performance was compared to the conventional thermoplastics polyoxymethylene and polyamide. In addition, root strength of the teeth was measured on a universal testing machine. The results suggest a higher load limit than found in the tests performed on the gear testing machine. However, rupture life depends on the Hertzian stress resulting in cracks in the active gear tooth profile.
