现代社会发展的理论和实践证明,工业化是不可逾越的阶段。党的十六大提出走新型工业化道路,并把它作为经济建设和体制改革的八大任务之首。这是我们党全面分析世界经济发展史,结合我国社会主义现代化建设的实践作出的新的重大战略方针,它对于工业基础差、底子薄、贫困人口多的我省意义更为重大,是海南在“十一五”期间全面建设小康社会的必然选择。文章从海南为什么要走新型工业化道路、海南走新型工业化道路的比较优势以及海南走新型工业化道路的主要措施等方面论述了海南走新型工业化道路这个主题。

The theories and practice of modern social development have confirmed that industrialization is an insurmountable stage. It has been formulated in the 16th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party that the road of industrialization should be taken, and that it is listed as the top of the eight missions for economic construction and structural reforms in our country. Taking the road of industrialization, a new and great strategic policy by our Party advanced after a thorough analysis of the history of world economic development and in line with the practice of socialist modernization construction in our country, is of great significance for Hainan featuring a weak industrial basis, a poor foundation and a large portion of poverty - stricken population, because it is an inevitable choice for Hainan to implement thoroughly the construction of well-todo society during the ＂11 th Five-year Plan＂. This paper attempts to expound on the issue of taking the road of industrialization in Hainan from the perspectives of the reasons for Hainan to take the road of industrialization, comparative advantages of Hainan in this aspect and some major measures concerned and so on.
