摘要
徐志摩等人于20世纪20年代译介曼斯斐尔德短篇小说,是中国短篇小说现代化进程的一个组成部分。本文着重从叙述、文体的角度,分析了徐志摩、陈西滢等人小说翻译的特点,以及这些特点与当时的社会文化语境之间的关联。
In the 1920s, Xu Zhimo （Tsemou Hsu） and other intellectuals＇ translation of Katherine Mansfield＇s short stories represented part of the efforts to modernize short story writing in China. Taking the perspectives of narrative and style, the present paper makes an analysis of the textual features of the translated stories by Xu Zhimo and Chen Xiying, and reveals how these features are related to the then socio-cultural context.
