尤金.奥尼尔剧作《安娜.克里斯蒂》剧中女主角———安娜从迷失自我的生活中走出来,经历过彷徨、困惑和挣扎之后,选择了一条虽不完美但充满希望的生活之路,最终完成了自我实现。以安娜的生活历程为线索,梳理女主角的独立人格和反叛精神的成因,我们可以窥视奥尼尔独特的妇女观。
The tragic heroine in Eugene O＇ Neill＇ s Anna Christie is both a character beyond her time and of her times. This paper intends to present her development from a lost child to a powerfuland mature woman, thus realize her self-fulfillment. This paper also tries to argue O＇ Neill＇ sperspectives on women through theinterpretation of the tragic heroine＇s rebelliousness as well as her inde-pendent personality.
