The background of developing the new type of water fire extinguishing system-compressed air spray system was introduced. Its components and properties were introduced too. The paper also discussed the fire extinguishing properties of the water spray branch and the design and test of the nozzle. The development of portable, back pack, wheeled and deck compressed air spray system as well as their current development status and prospects were introduced.
