This article analyzes the problem of historical information isolation in the restoration design solution for Gongjimen and city wall of Taiyuan and describes the view of sticking to the principle of putting emphasis on the historical reality and spreading the historical information during the protection of Gongjimen and city wall through research on international and domestic city history and culture heritage protection system.
