The Importance of hot point temperature monitoring on - llne of transformer winding was introduced, a few kinds of measuring methods prevalent now of hot point temperature monitoring of transformer winding were analyzed and contrasted, a method that fiber optics grating temperature sensor sticks to the surfaces of windings to monitor temperature was presented based on the analysis mentioned above, and some concrete experimental data were gained.
