A Discussion of Anti-Japanese Poetry—Ma Junjie’s Looking in the North

朱自清先生作“序”和叶圣陶先生作“跋”的马君的《北望集》,是一本抗日战争时期出版的新诗集。和当时许多慷慨激昂、充满战斗力量的抗战诗歌相比,它是属于另类的沉郁风格的诗。在新时代重新发掘、审视抗日战争时期的文学(尤其是诗歌)的今天,这本风格独特的诗集,是对以往抗战诗歌的一个补充,值得我们研究和探讨。

Ma Junjie＇s Looking in the North, with a preface by Zhu Ziqing and a postscript by Ye Shengtao, is a collection of pomes published in the anti-Japanese wartime. Compared with many impassioned and forceful anti-Japanese poems, it belongs to a different style-gloominess. Today, literature, especially poetry in this wartime, is being newly explored and closely examined. This collection of poems by Ma Junjie is complementary to other kinds of anti-Japanese poems and deserves to studied and discussed.
