On the Homeland Consciousness in Luyao’s Fictions

路遥小说中的主人公多为“城乡交叉地带”的农村有志青年,地理意义上的家园闭塞落后,使主人公将走出家园作为自己人生的一个重要奋斗目标。但作者在创作中让走出家园的人再次回到自己的家园,又流露出路遥家园意识的狭隘性和矛盾性。作者通过艰难的思考和创作最终超越了自己家园意识的狭隘性。

In Luyao＇s fictions, the protagonists are always ambitious young people born in the countryside. Their geographical homeland is out-of-the-way and backward, which makes them look on going out as an important goal to struggle for in their life. But the author often lets his protagonists come back to their homeland in a moral level, which shows narrowness and contradictoriness of Lu Yao＇s homeland consciousness. Lu Yao finally surpasses the narrowness of his homeland consciousness after tough thinking and hard creation.
