从建构主义视角读《语言教学面面观》

摘要 Widdowson教授在《语言教学面面观》一书中,论述了当今语言教学中最引人注目的一些问题。他认为,教学过程中教师对理论进行同化与顺应来满足实践的需要;语言的使用是意义协调建构过程,是语言内化和图式知识共同作用的结果。因此,他支持调谐的教学观,发挥学习者的主动性、利用他们已有的知识经验。这些观点正是建构主义思想的反映。 In Aspects ofLaaguage Teaching, Professor Widdowson provides a timely critical review of the most prominent issues in language teaching today. He advises that teachers should mediate the theories for classroom practice, assimilating and accommodating the teaching process. In his opinion the mediation of meaning is central to language use, and the realization of meaning depends on the learners' systemic knowledge and schematic knowledge. So the mediation view of teaching is needed, which engages the language with the learners' agency and experience. All these ideas reflect some points of Constructivism Theory.
