摘要
介绍了３Ｓ，即全球定位系统（ＧＰＳ）、遥感（ＲＳ）、地理信息系统（ＧＩＳ）的基本概念及其理论技术与特点。
The basic concepts, modern techniques and characters of 3S, Global Positioning System(GPS) Remote Sensing(RS) and Geographical Information System(GIS), were discussed in this paper. The relationship between 3S techniques and the development of surveying and mapping subject has been discussed. It must have positive influences on the development of surveying and mapping in the future.
