EMA-based generation technique for large network simulation scenarios

摘要 在利用计算机仿真技术研究大规模网络的性能时,如何便捷精确地构建网络仿真场景是其中一项关键步骤。该文结合可扩展标记语言(ex tens ib le m arkup language,XM L)和OPNET的外部模块访问(ex terna l m ode l access,EM A)技术,提出了一种网络仿真场景自动生成技术。运用该技术,独立于OPNET平台开发的第三方程序,首先导出数据库中的网络场景数据生成XM L文档,然后通过解析XM L文档,自动生成能够由OPNET进行仿真的标准网络模型。该技术既实现了OPNET资源的多用户共享,又避免了以传统方式构建大规模网络场景时所需要的繁杂的手工操作,具有良好的实用价值。 Computer simulations of large networks need to rapidly generate accurate network scenarios. This paper describes an automatic generation method for network simulation scenarios, which uses the XML (extensible markup language) language and the EMA (external model access) library of OPNET. The network scenario data in the database is exported into an XML document without installing the OPNET. Then the XML document is passed to automatically create a standard network model compatible with the OPNET. The technique can share the OPNET resource among multiple users while eliminating the time-consuming manual creation of the large scenarios.
