摘要
本文调查了大学生外语阅读态势对大学英语阅读策略选择的影响,发现具有良好阅读态势的学生针对各种不同的阅读材料能够有选择地运用阅读策略,而阅读态势较差的学生在大学英语阅读过程中,所使用的各种阅读策略之间均存在明显的正相关关系。这说明阅读态势较差的学生不能够随机应变、灵活地运用各种阅读策略,具有较大的盲目性和随意性,从而影响了阅读效果,导致了阅读成功率的低下。
The present study examines the effect of reading status (including reading skills, habits, and hobbies) of foreign language on the selection of college English reading strategies. It is found that students with high level of reading status and students with low level of reading status in Xi'an University of Post and Telecommunications select reading strategies in different ways. Students with high level of reading status tend to select reading strategies appropriately and use them effectively in tackling reading materials, whereas among students with low level of reading status, there exists a positive correlation between every pair of reading strategies. Results indi- cate that the students with low level of reading status usually would not cope with the new and strange language phenomena, as a result summon up all the reading strategies for a particular piece of reading material no matter if they are appropriate for it.
