The Report, A Nation Deceived： How Schools Hold Back America＇s Brightest Students, introduced and summarized the educational modal aiming at acceleration of gifted children in the U.S.A, and pointed out acutely and analyses deeply the problems faced with the educational-learning rights of American gifted children. This report arose general public attention to the education of gifted children from all social circles in America. On the basis of the report, this article discusses the background, development and recent progress in this field.
