A Cognitive-Psychological Perspective on the Study of Translation Process

研究译者在翻译过程中的认知心理活动,是揭示翻译活动本质的重要途径。由于大脑思维过程的不透明性,借助认知心理学领域的一些实验方法和研究结果,探讨感知、思维、记忆、解决问题、语言使用与学习等左右翻译行为的翻译智力问题,可能有利于翻译研究心理学模式的建立与发展。

The study of translation process, as against translation product,is concerned with an examination of the mental process involved in the act of translating. It is hoped that the systematic application of sophisticated psychological techniques,e, g. thinking- aloud protocols and decision- making theory,will lead to advances in such a highly complex area and to the possible setting up of anew area of study which might be termed translation cognitive- psychology.
