The defects of the traditional methods of internal limiting surge current are pointed out. A new method of external Limiting surge current-AC KJH surge current limiter is presented. Using this surge current Limiter, the surge current is only 1 or 2 times larger than the peak of working current. This surge current limiter is especially suitable for the application of systems or equipments. It can also be a device with soft on/off for AC apparatus.
