摘要
从英汉两种语言之比喻性词语的喻体与喻义间的对应关系着手,以《圣经》为例,从人物、动植物名称等角度来探讨其内在文化内涵与翻译方法。比喻性词语可以通过成语、俗语、谚语、惯用语、典故、格言等多种形式表现出来;喻体与喻义的关系为完全对应、部分对应及非对应关系;翻译方法则有直译、套用或借用、意译。
In the perspective of figures of speech the relevance of metaphorical subjects to the meanings of an analogy, the author discusses the cultural connotations of types and their translation on the basis of the examples taken from the Bible. Figures of speech can be expressed in the forms of idioms, common sayings, proverbs, usage, allusions and mottos, all reflecting the relationships between metaphorical subjects and the meanings of an analogy, relationships such as complete relevance, partial relevance and irrelevance; the cultural connotations of the figurative words are also discussed in connection with the characters, animals and plants, the names of events; the translation can be done by means of metaphase, loanwords and free translation.
