《墨子》英译对比研究

A Comparative Study of the Translation of Mozi

本文通过对墨子现有英译本的比读分析,论证《墨子》英译全译本问世的必要性及特点,探讨文本考辨在典籍英译中的重要作用以及典籍英译所应遵循的基本原则。笔者认为,1)典籍作品的文本考辨事关译文的准确,必须高度重视;2)“明白、通畅、简洁”应为翻译《墨子》一类古籍作品所应遵循的基本原则。

Through a comparative study of the English versions of Mozi, this author argues that （1） great importance should be attached to textual research as it concerns the accuracy of the translation of Chinese Classics ; （2） ＂clarity, smoothness and conciseness＂ should be taken as the basic principles for translating Chinese classics such as Mozi.
