狄更斯是最早被译介到中国的外国作家之一。在狄更斯研究中,“狄氏在中国的传播和接受”是一个重要的课题,作品的出版情况最能直接体现这一作家在异国的接受度,从出版这一视角来研究狄更斯的接受是很有价值和意义的。

Charles Dickens is one of foreign writers earliestly translated and introduced to China. Since Lin Shu and Wei Yi cooperatedly translated Dickens＇ five long novels during 1907-1909, the translation, introduction and studies of Dickens＇ novels have never been paused. The dissemination and reception is an important task in studying Dickens＇ works in China, as to which some inland articles discuss the reception of Dickens＇ works in aspects of translation, intro- duction, studying and influence up to date, but no articles clear up by the numbers the circs of Dickens＇ works in China. The publishing status of works embodies directly the reception of a writer in foreign countries, from which the study of Dickens is of great worth and significance.
