摘要
对江苏省一所省属普通高校(非重点本科院校)部分非英语专业本科学生的英语语音语调情况进行初步实证研究。研究结果表明:学生对学好英语语音语调的重要性有较好的认识,但不少学生缺乏对一些基本英语语音知识的了解;大多数学生在多音节词的重音、句子重音、弱读、连读和语调等方面问题比较突出,影响学生英语听说能力的培养与提高。大学英语教学加强对学生语音语调的训练势在必行。
This paper deals with a preliminary empirical research on the English pronunciation and intonation on the part of the non-English majors at tertiary level, which is based upon a survey from a toni-key university in Jiangsu. The findings shrew that the students as a whole realize the importance of learning well the English pronunciation and intonation but quite a few lack some rudimentary knowledge ablaut them; many tend to commit errors in the stress of polysyllabic words, sentence stress, weak form, linking and intimation. Those problems may affect the enhancement of the students' abilities to both listen to and speak English. Hence it is highly necessary to strengthen the training of the English pronunciation and intonation on the part of the non-English majors while teaching them college English.
