李春青认为,儒家文化并非不可分割的整体,既有其精华。又有其糟粕。对于今天我们应该做的首先是根据儒学自身的复杂性与我们的现实需求去分析它,然后以“择善固执”的态度去实践那些有价值的部分。郑伟认为,对于儒学来说,无论是将之一棒子打死,还是将之定为一尊,都是文化霸权的表现,既不能简单地抹煞它的时代意义,同时叉应该提防其背后的意识形态化倾向。董阳认为,“读经”之争发生在2004年被称为“文化保护主义年”,读经并没有错,只不过不要那么功利,它的作用并非有其倡导者鼓吹的那般效果。让读经不再“主义”,让“运动”回到活动。
Li Chun - qing thinks that the Confucian culture may be separated for it has superior and inferior elements. We should select what we think is good to realize its value. Zheng Wei thinks that for Con, fucianism we can't give a complete Yes or No, either of which represents the cuhural hegemony. We should not ignore its significance today and meanwhile we should be wary of its ideological tendency. In the opinion of Dong Yang, the disputes of "reading classics" took place in 2004 named "a year of cultural protectionism". We should advocate reading classics without thinking of its material gain.
