新世纪初出现的新工业化思潮,因中国目前的工业困境与国家新工业化政策而兴起,至今方兴未艾。出现的主要理论形态有:科学发展观、重化工业论、服务业—工业化论、工业文明论、新工业文明论、比较优势论等。科学发展观为其理论总纲,其他理论形态都在此主题下展开。新工业化思潮的本质是,在已经变动的新国际国内环境下探索新的工业化路向,即在“知识经济”和“信息革命”的巨大历史机遇面前,在资源环境和人口压力等种种限制条件下,如何在日趋剧烈的全球性竞争市场中找准定位,从而为国家对工业化的引导和监控政策提供科学依据。
