介绍了打印机与主机之间的机电性连接———接口,以及接口的电信号约定———时序的概念。着重介绍了打印功能、打印基本命令和打印驱动程序等的设计,以及围绕打印机接口发生的历史性变化。

This article introduces some basic concepts such as the interface between a printer and a host processor which has mechano-electronic connection and the sequenced signal which is the stipulator of electrical signal of the interface. Especially the historical development of the functions of printing, the basic command of printing and the driver of printing around the interface are discussed.
