This paper introduces the design of a real-time data acquisition system based on AT89S51 and USB interface to solve problems that real-time acquisition systems are facing by taking excellent advantages of USB. The characteristics of AT89S51 and PDIUSBD12 are introduced briefly. The hardware design using AT89S51 micro -controller and PDIUSBD12 and TLC2543 chips to achieve USB data transfer is carried out. And the firmware program design is introduced in detail too.
