entrifugally casted stainless steel suction rolls installed on a papermachine has been found to perform satisfactorily. Prolonged lives for roll shell and its rubber covering are being claimed. Extended lives of wire cloth and felt are the being experienced. This are possibly resulted from the elimination of hole hole pluggings, leading to more stable vacuum within the shell; resulting in better dewatering and less energy consumption.
