On Chinese Influence on Language of Western Xia

汉语对西夏语的影响,无论语音、语法、词汇都极为深远。西夏人努力仿照汉语编著西夏语字书、词书和韵书。通过对《文海》、《五音切韵》两部西夏官修韵书与汉语韵书的比较分析,探讨西夏人主动学习汉文化,在充分吸收汉语元素的基础上,重构本民族文化典籍的历程。

Chinese exerted profound influence on language of Western Xia in its pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. People of Western Xia Dynasty made great effort to compose works in Western Xia Character by imitating Chinese. By making a comparative analysis of two official rhyming dictionaries （Wenhai and Wuyinqieyun） written in Western Xia language, and Chinese rhyming dictionary, the author aims at exploring initiation of people in Western Xia dynasty in learning Chinese culture and the process of reconstructing their own euhure based on absorption of Chinese dement.
