Creative ideas of film director and photographer as well as the precious pictuers in a film are keys for success even in the High Definition （HD） time. The film content directly decides its value, but the media of recording will decide its potential value in the future. Details of technology development of the industry, comparision of film and HD video and their technical performances are given.
