Some Assumptions about Control of Water and Soil Erosion in the Kokyar River Basin

通过对柯克亚河小流域水土流失现状概述、成因分析,水土流失对周边和温宿县城及阿克苏市城区的危害,及其对已建水土治理工程的生态、社会、经济效益的研究,为进一步改善小流域的环境,提出了水土流失治理依据。

The Kokyar River Basin （41°06′～41°53′N, 80°00′～ 80°27′E） is located in a zone between the Kumalak River （a tributary of the Aksu River） and the Tailan River. In order to further improve the ecological environment in the Kokyar River Basin, some projects have been carried out for controlling water and soil erosion in the river basin, and some ecological benefits, social effects and economic returns have been brought about. In this paper, the present situation of water and soil erosion in the Kokyar River Basin is described, and the causes soil erosion in the river basin are analyzed, and the disasters caused by water and soil erosion in the river basin are discussed. Moreover, the subzones are delimited and some measures are put forward for controlling water and soil erosion in the Kokyar River Basin. The study results can be regarded as the referring objectives of controlling water and soil erosion in the Kokyar River Basin.
