The open-shelves reading of library, which brings about the convenience to readers and shows many advantages, issues some new challenges to the library management. Connecting with the working practice, this paper analyzes on the advantages and disadvantages of the open-shelves reading, and probes into the measures for perfecting the open-shelves reading work.
