The myth of Eden in the Bible had a great influence on the Jewish writer Kafka. His novels reflect the fate of humankind after Adam and Hawaii have been driven out of the Park of Eden. It may be proved by the bans what the characters have violated, the sense of sin and the punishment of exile or death. The relationship between God and humankind was the focal issue that Kafka pondered over. There is a gulf between God and humankind. So Kafka insisted people should individuate their religious beliefs. It was the road of redemption to God. Kafka is a writer with strong religious consciousness. We can't understand his novels if we neglect the religious meaning he has expressed in his writings.
