中餐菜肴品种繁多,文化内涵丰富。这给中餐菜名的英译造成了很大的困难。本文试图从分析中餐菜名的构成方式入手,归纳总结了翻译中餐菜名的通用方法:直译法,意译法和音译法。并就一些中餐菜名英译进行具体探讨。

It＇s difficult to translate the names of Chinese dishes into English because of the variety of Chinese dishes and the richness of their inner cultures. In this article, author is trying to explore the name - building of Chinese dishes and to conclude the commonly used translating methods, such as metaphrase ,paraphrase and transliteration. At last, the author makes a concrete discussion of translating some Chinese dishes.
