The author introduces in details the site selection, concept plan and the theme of the intended 2010 Expo which Shanghai endeavors to win the bid of hosting. Moreover： the rapid development and urban variety of the city enable it to be a well-qualified candidate. Bidding for the host of World Exposition is not only meaningful to Shanghai, but also to the development of cities in China.
