The SSRS is located in the southwest area of Shanghai on the railway to Hangzhou As one of the main civic works it has to represent the Shanghai of the 21^st century. The proposal resembles the classical typology of railway stamens transformed into an expressive state of the art lightweight construction, which is meeting the climatically and geological needs of Shanghai.
