The way by which colors are applied to a piece of furniture can influence the effect on it very much.Both Chinese and western classical furnirure bave some original features.And historically the colors used in furniture design are usually inseparable from the cultural settings and the philosopohical ideology.Color application to furniture can help us to understant the commonness and difference between Chinese and Westem culture,and it can also help modem Chinese designers to find the context of Chinese furniture culture at prescnt conflicting with that of westem culture.
