这座古老的新巴洛克风格的宫殿建于1888/1889年，用于存放珍贵的艺术品，丝绸，地毯等；1944年空袭中受损严重。由于它的历史价值和吸引力，它被修建，考虑到将来商业需要，宫殿内隐蔽安装了现代化的楼宇技术设备（电气、空调、供热、通信、消防），保护那些重要区域文物。由于新的技术设备，存贮、停车等的需要，在宫殿基础下再加建地下四层。凭借这一出色的工程项目，欧博迈亚获得了1998年年度工程奖。
The historic neobaroque warehouse for a prestigious art ,silk and carpet merchant was built in 1888/1889 and heavily damaged during an air raid in 1944, Because of its historic value and attractiveness it was restored. For future commercial utilization modern technical building services （electricity, air condition ,heating ,communication and fire protection facilities ）were installed invisibly in order to preserve the areas under monumental protection. The demand for new spaces for technical services and storage and for a car park required the construction of a 4-floor basement underneath the historic foundations. For this extensive engineering project OBERMEYER was awarded the Engineering Prize 1998.
