摘要
1990年，我首次涉足当时堪称“荒漠”的中国设计界。
那时候，中国的“设计版图”还能让人一目了然，只有屈指可数的几个值得敬重的老牌艺术院校对“设计”这一新概念有所关注。
Prof. Gerhard Mathias is the professor of Art College of Kasser University in Germany. Since 1989, he has been teaching in many design colleges in China and established Mathias International Design College in Chongqing in 2000. Here he reviews the changes of design education in China since 1990 and analyzes the big problems in China design education, by which he shows his great concern about China design education and his love for China.
