Sublimity in Water Layout——A View of the Modern Application of the Classical Ideas of Water layout from the Waterscape Design in Lushan Villa

本文从分析中国传统园林理水的文化意境及其表现手法入手, 结合长沙市麓山别墅的创作实践,阐述了中国古典园林理水理念在现代人居环境中的继承和发展,以期探索既立足于传统和本土文化,又善于创新、可持续发展的水景设计思路。

The author analyzes the techniques of water layout in classical Chinese gardening and its cultural, spiritual implications. Based on the practice in Lushan villa in Changsha, he also discusses the inheriting and developing of traditional ideas of water layout in modem human residential environment to find a creative and sustainable approach to waterscape design on the base of traditional and national cugure.
