The American architect Steven Hell applied phenomenology to architecture successfully and won international recognition and respect for his achievements in architectural theory and practice. This article tries to find out how Holl seeks intrinsical relationship between human and architecture from four aspects-place and phenomena, enmeshed experience, light and space, and materials and details.
