在高等教育大众化背景下,广州大学必须坚持以科学发展观为指导,根据地方经济社会发展的需要,进行科学合理的定位;通过改革人才培养模式和优化专业结构,改善学生的基础知识结构,提高学生的综合素质;树立全面质量管理思想,建立健全教学质量保障体系,不断提高教育教学质量;重视人才强校工程、和谐校园和发展规划建设,进一步提升学校服务社会的实力,推动学校工作全面协调发展。

In the context of the massification of higher education, Guangzhou University should position its operation under the guidance of the concept of scientific development and in accordance to the needs of local economic development, to improve the students knowledge structure and their comprehensive competence by reforming the education model and the structure of the programs, to promote the teaching quality by building up and perfecting the system of quality control; to further develop the University＇ s capability to serve the society and to promote the University＇ s overall development by stressing the ＂Talent Project＂ and building a harmonious campus.
