From Classical Rhetoric to Modern New Rhetoric

从亚理士多德创立系统的古典修辞学理论以来,修辞学作为劝说交际的艺术,长期以来备受人们的关注。20世纪以来,美国修辞学家们在古典修辞学的基础上,结合现代科技的发展,提出了众多的新修辞学理论,丰富了修辞学的定义,拓展了修辞学的范围,重新振兴了这门古老的学问。

During the history of 2500 years, cassical rhetoric experiences many ups and downs until 18th century. New American rhetoric inherited the traditional rhetoric, and at the same time modern rhetorians modify and enrich the theory by combined it with modem linguistic theories and science.
