摘要
Joint Investigation of the Himalayas From October to November 2006,scientists from Nepal,China,India and Bhutan embarked on a month-long comprehensive investigation of geological conditions,natural environment topography,ecosystem,glaciers,and social and economic development in the Himalayas,Their work included asessng the huge dispanity,as regards human habitability,between the ice-covered northerm slopes and the moe tropical climatic features of the southem bend.
