Cultural Perspective in ESL Curriculum Development

摘要 This paper probes into culture teaching in a second language syllabus. The author insists that cultural awareness and competence are necessary parts in second or foreign language teaching and learning and cultural factors must be taken into account in ESL syllabus design. This thesis also gives an analysis of the concept of culture, what a cultural syllabus is and its contents in culture teaching.
