从英语关系从句的习得看可及性层级假设 被引量:66

摘要 本研究通过4项任务探究我国高中生和大学生对英语限制性关系从句的习得,及其与可及性层级假设的关系。结果发现:(1)可及性层级假设只在某些任务中有条件成立。两组受试在产出和理解关系从句方面没有显著差异。不同任务类型对受试使用关系从句的准确度有显著影响。(2)受试在产出型任务的各类关系从句中都保留代词,其频率与任务类型有关。(3)受试所回避关系从句类型的分布规律符合可及性层级假设的预测,并受二语水平和任务类型影响。 This paper investigated the Accessibility Hierarchy Hypothesis (AHH) by studying Chinese learners, acquisition of English restrictive relative clauses (RCs). Four tasks were performed by two groups of subjects, from high schools and universities respectively. The study yielded the following major findings: (1) The AHH only partially held in some tasks. The two groups of subjects did not differ significantly in accuracy in producing and comprehending the RCs. But task types significantly influenced their accuracy. (2) The subjects retained pronouns in all the RC types of both production tasks, with varying frequencies in different tasks. (3) The subjects avoided some RC types and replaced them with others. The pattern of avoidance and replacement conformed to the AHH, but was mediated by L2 proficiency and tasks.
