中关村科技城是中央政府为促进国内科技发展的一大举措。科技城中心区地处北京主要高校和研究所附近，由西区（在建）和东区组成。SASAKI受委托负责发展东区的规划。
Zhongguancun Science City is an effort en the part of the central government to foster the development of science and technology in China. The core area of Science City is located in close proximity to Beijing＇s major universities and rehash institutes. The core area consists of a Western District （presently under construction） and an Eastern District. Sasaki was retained to prepare a plan for the development of the Eastern Distnct.
