Stories behind poems of Tang dynasty and poetical notes in early Song dynasty

宋代早期诗话自唐诗本事演化而来。一方面,诗话明显继承本事的形式,二者体制格调相近,叙事类型趋同。另一方面,诗话逐渐偏离本事的体式,证事变异,议论提升,诠事扩展。宋代早期诗话与唐诗本事的复变关系体现了唐诗本事的学术化发展。

Notes on poets and poetry in early Song dynasty developed from stories behind poems of the Tang dynasty. First, early Song poetical notes inherited the form of story telling, bearing similarities in format/style and narrative typology. Second, the notes gradually deviated from the form of story toward factual research, thematic commentary and meaning interpretation. The relationship between early Song poetical notes and Tang dynasty poetical story reflects the incline of the latter toward academic learning. p
