摘要
本文综合采用Brown和Levinson的礼貌模式(简称B-L模式)和Culpeper的人物塑造理论对Hampton的《慈善家》剧本第一幕进行文体分析,以展示在戏剧文体学中综合采用这两个模式的优越性。与仅仅采用B-L模式的Abdesslem对同一戏剧文本的分析相比,本文考虑了读者的认知机制,从整体上揭示了人物性格的塑造,并较好地阐释了戏剧冲突的发展过程。此外,本文在分析的基础上对两个理论模式提出了一些修正。
The study combines the B-L model and Culpeper's theory of characterization in the investigation of Hampton's The Philanthropist. It demonstrates the advantages of synthesizing the two theoretical models in the stylistic analysis of drama. Compared with Abdesslem's analysis of the same dramatic text based solely on the B-L model, the present study takes into account readers' cognitive processes and reveals the characterization in the dramatic conflict in a more systematic and integrated manner. Based on the analysis, the present study also makes some modifications to the theoretical models involved.
