As the great masters of culture in China and western counties, both Confucius and Plato realized the close relation of music and human beings,the important function and value of music to human beings.They explained the nature of music, the function of music and the aesthetics of music from their respective philosophical base. Their music views show many similarities. But their music views went to different ways because of their different philosophical base.
