摘要
本文基于语料库数据,采用中介语对比分析方法探析中国学习者英语语料库中的四、六级作文中强化词的使用,研究以国际学习者语料库中的本族语者作文为参照语料库。文中强化词分为两类最高程度词和增强程度词。统计数据表明,中国学习者在整体上过多使用强化词。进一步的研究发现中国学习者过少使用最高强化词,过多使用增强程度词。本文从强化词实现的功能、母语迁移、两类强化词的不同使用特点等方面解释了以上现象。
With a corpus based contrastive Interlanguage Analysis method, the present study explores the use of amplifiers in Band 4 and Band 6 writing of Chinese Learner English Corpus, with reference to the native speakers' writing of International Corpus of Learner English. In this paper, amplifiers fall into two categories; maximizers and boosters. The statistical data indicates that Chinese learners overuse amplifiers significantly. A further study shows that Chinese learners underuse maximizers while overuse boosters. This paper makes a tentative explanation from the following perspectives: functions performed by amplifiers, mother tongue transfer, and different features of maximizers and boosters.
