An Explore of Student Affair Decision Support System in Higher Education Based on Knowledge Discovery in Database

在学生管理信息系统的基础上建立一个以企业运作方式为模型的学生工作决策支持系统(StudentA ffair Dec ision Support System,SADSS)很有必要,学生工作决策支持系统的各项功能除了满足日常简单的查询、统计和维护之外,还需局部统筹规划管理高校学生工作各种信息,协调各级学生工作者的工作,还能够为高校各级学生工作决策者和执行者提供有关教育形势以及学生思想动态、学习生活情况的瞬时变化、发展趋势以及通过技术手段来开发学生管理信息系统产生的历史数据,提取隐含在其中的事先未知的、潜在的、深层次的、有价值的信息,以利于决策。

Facilitating IT application for student management in higher education can shift the mode of management and improve student management through utilizing information and obtain knowledge. The paper first analyzes the extent and insufficiency of student information management in higher education according to the demand of information and decision, then proposes to develop the student decision support system based on knowledge discovery in database and the student management information system, and analyzes the relationship between DSS and MIS, finally demonstrates the feasibility of developing student affair decision support system.
